To check the benchmark performance of these motherboards, we have used the software Cinebench 11.5. In the test, MSI Z170 Gaming Pro performs the best with the overall performance number of 10.17. The runner-up with the overall performance of 9.77 is the Gigabyte motherboard. ASRock and Asus motherboards have more or less the same performance with the numbers of 9.74 and 9.63 respectively. On another software, Passmark 8 MemoryMark, most of the readings were roughly the same.

For this test, we have used Samsung SSD hard drive. We were sadly not able to test the Gigabyte motherboard, but except that, we have tested all the other motherboards.

  • Reading – In reading 1 MB, the Asus Z170 motherboard performs the best with the reading speed of over 760MB per second. ASRock has a speed of 650 MB per second and MSI comes the last with 620 MB per second speed.
  • Writing – In writing 1 MB, Asus Z170 again performs the best with the writing speed of 768 MB per second. ASRock comes second with the writing speed of 646 MB per second and MSI comes third with the writing speed of 612 MB per second.

 

  • Power consumption

In the idle state, Gigabyte takes the least power with the power consumption of 25 W per 5 minutes. All the other motherboards take 30 W for the same time.
