Pros
- 18-inch 2560x1600 IPS panel with a 120Hz option (Dell.com lists 60Hz as the base) that Dell rates at 500 nits and 100% DCI-P3; the reviewed unit averaged about 515 nits and covered 97.7% of DCI-P3 in review testing
- Core Ultra 9 285HX scored about 3,024 single-core and 20,887 multi-core in Geekbench 6.7 in review testing, alongside a 175W RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell with 24GB of GDDR7

- Quick-access service door and CAMM2 memory (up to 128GB at launch, with 256GB listed as a later option), plus modular USB-C ports for easier repairs
- 96Wh battery lasted about 9 hours 20 minutes of Wi-Fi web browsing in review testing
Cons
- Only one display option, the 2560x1600 IPS panel: no 4K or OLED choice, unlike the 16-inch Pro Max 16 Plus
- Expensive: Dell.com lists the base Core Ultra 5 245HX model at $4,190, and a Core Ultra 9, RTX PRO 5000, 128GB build like this one was priced at $9,245.52 when reviewed in 2025
- Heavy: it starts at 3.25kg, and the reviewed build weighed about 3.6kg before its 718g adapter
- The CPU reached around 100C under heavy load in review testing, which held back Turbo Boost speeds, and charging slowed during heavy use
