Intel Core i5-12600
Intel's 65 W Alder Lake six-core desktop processor for LGA1700: 6 performance cores and 12 threads at 3.3 GHz base and up to 4.8 GHz boost, 18 MB cache, UHD Graphics 770, DDR5-4800 or DDR4-3200 and PCIe 5.0, with a Laminar RM1 cooler in the box.
Pros
- 6 performance cores and 12 threads at up to 4.8 GHz on a 65 W base power
- Integrated UHD Graphics 770, so no discrete GPU is needed to boot
- Supports both DDR5-4800 and DDR4-3200 depending on the motherboard
- PCIe 5.0 support with 20 CPU lanes
- Intel Laminar RM1 cooler included in the box
Cons
- Locked multiplier, so no CPU overclocking
- No efficient cores, unlike the Core i5-12600K
- Maximum turbo power of 117 W is well above the 65 W base rating
- The included RM1 cooler is basic and not designed for sustained high-power boost
