Intel Core i9-14900F
Intel's 65 W Raptor Lake Refresh flagship non-K desktop chip for LGA1700: 24 cores (8 P-cores, 16 E-cores), 32 threads, up to 5.8 GHz, 36 MB L3 cache and no integrated graphics, so a discrete GPU is required.
Pros
- 24 cores and 32 threads (8 P-cores, 16 E-cores) with boost up to 5.8 GHz
- 36 MB Smart Cache plus 32 MB L2 cache
- 65 W base power, much lower than the 125 W of the unlocked Core i9-14900K
- Supports both DDR5-5600 and DDR4-3200 on LGA1700 boards, plus PCIe 5.0 and 4.0
Cons
- Maximum turbo power is 219 W, so a capable cooler is still needed under sustained load
- No integrated graphics (F suffix); a discrete graphics card is required
- Locked multiplier, so no overclocking by multiplier
- LGA1700 is an end-of-line socket
Very good
