Intel Core i7-14700F
Intel's non-K, no-graphics Raptor Lake Refresh desktop chip for LGA1700: 20 cores (8 P-cores, 12 E-cores) and 28 threads, up to 5.4 GHz, a 65 W base power rating and 219 W maximum turbo power, launched in Q1 2024.
Pros
- 20 cores (8 P-cores, 12 E-cores) and 28 threads at up to 5.4 GHz
- 33 MB Intel Smart Cache and 28 MB total L2 cache
- 65 W base power rating, lower than the unlocked K-series chips
- Supports both DDR5-5600 and DDR4-3200 memory, allowing reuse of existing DDR4 platforms
Cons
- No integrated graphics, so a discrete graphics card is required
- Locked multiplier, no CPU overclocking
- 219 W maximum turbo power demands solid cooling and a capable motherboard under sustained loads
- LGA1700 socket is the end of the line for this platform
Very good
